what is 1PLACE2PERFORM

Musicians usually struggle to find places adapted to their own style of music. We imaginated a plateform that can link them to bar or pub owners. Thus, they perform on stage in front of an adapted audience, which has the same musical taste as them. The only thing they have to do is to download our app, sign in, record themselves thanks to the record button or submit their channel. That's all.
In the professional context, musicians do not really benefit from a profund career guidance. This app is dedicated to them.

Some resources that inspired our project:

Idea generation and universe creation

One of the main goal of the app is to create a network for musicians. The application is made to revolutionize their daily life and their vision of work. In fact, we allow them to combine passion and work ! We were absolutely certain that artists would give their best on stage, by providing a real connexion between owners and musicians. They both find a deep interest in the app :

    For musicians : opportunity to combine work and passion, earn money, get more visibility, be closer to an audience...
    For bar owners : opportunity to attract a larger customer base, have a more diversified program, attract famous or unknown artists.

Interactions between profesionnals

We created a true interaction between bar owners and musicians. In fact, the musicians can find on the app the contact of the bar in which he wants to perform and contact them. This allow them to :

  • First, organize themselves and their performance in a very professional way ;
  • Second, introduce themselves and explain their expectations ;
  • Third, talk about their passion for music.

The first Mockup of the application

Our Wireframe has been built in order to facilitate the conception of the application by giving an very visual and intuitive example of the future interface. Thus, it deeply helped us to get a better idea of what we were creating, and to make the HackMD questions and interviews.

The interviews and feedbacks

about the app :
The user test conducted on
HackMD was truly interesting
for us. The app seemed to be very useful for users. Nevertheless, we redesigned the app on Figma to respect the recommandations of
our interviewer. We also
added some features and settings : chats, principal menu, personal page, a
record button...

Key point in the programmation

We must be careful about a
few very important things. Machine learning used in
the app for recording musicians have to be perfect, in order to satisfy musicians entirely. Besides, bar owners and musicians have to find
a very profesionnal application on which
they can work together.

Get feedbacks
from performance

Thanks to the app, the musician can have a detailed feedback of his performance either from the bar owners or the public. This allows them
to improve their
performance, change their song, melody or rythm in
order to perfectly match with the public expecations. It is also a very good way for them
to succeed in their career thanks to a constructive criticism.

We have much more understood the expectations of our future users and have redesigned the app on Figma to respect the recommandations of our interviewers.
